1. A New Baby Brings Joy
We are thrilled to share that Washington and his wife have welcomed a beautiful baby girl, named Elliana! Mother and baby are doing well, and we send our heartfelt congratulations to their family on their new blessing.

 Proud parents with baby Elliana

2. Trade School Graduates
Two of our young ladies, Juliet and Iddah, have completed their trade school program in sewing and tailoring this month! Both are just 17 years old and will remain at the home for a time to gain more practice in their craft. They will start doing mending for our kiddos and see how they do making uniforms for the next school term before January. We are so proud of them and thankful for the support that helped make their education possible!

Iddah and Juliet, our new trade school grads!

3. Water Challenges
The dry season continues, and only one of our storage tanks still holds water. We are thankful we still have water for drinking and cooking, and remain hopeful the rains will come soon. The pond has gone dry for the first time since it was built, though the diverted water source (due to road work) has been corrected (we will confirm when the rains begin again). The lack of rain also caused a maize crop failure at our farm, which will likely create financial challenges. Seed was planted when it appeared the rainy season was starting, but then came weeks of dryness.

The team is using the tuk tuk truck to collect water from the lake for cleaning and bathing, like we used to in prior years. Water is a precious resource in Kenya!

4. A Close Call

During one early morning water run in the tuk tuk, Washington swerved to avoid hitting a small child who stepped into the road. The girl was safe (we are so thankful!), but Washington and others were injured, and the tuk tuk was damaged. We used some funds to repair it; so now it is back in use, allowing for continued hauling of water from the lake. We need to continue this until the rainy season begins.

5. Mission Trips 2026
Plans are underway for mission trips next April or May, and again in August! Team members will stay on-site at the compound. If you are interested in joining a mission trip, please contact us—we would love to have you be part of the team!

… And more! Go Ye was asked for help in the Mathare Slums near Nairobi, from a contact they’ve met with before, to supply food for school children there. They were taking practice exams and would not be eating if they didn’t receive the lunch they normally do from an outreach there.
